Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Caseworker III-IV; Children’s Services.  OBJECTIVE: Provide professional Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) case management, service development and administrative duties within a comprehensive range of social service programs aimed at children and families. In accordance with the Family Services Department: Children’s Services Division Mission Statement the Caseworker provides services to Tribal members and Bristol Bay residents (individuals, children, families, Tribes, and communities) to promote and enhance family and community well-being.  QUALIFICATIONS:  Job qualifications are stated in the detailed job description as Essential Job Results.  Please ask for a copy.  Job knowledge / documentation required.  Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; at least four years of progressive experience in social work may be substituted on a year for year basis.  Familiarity with local area, people, and culture. Federal law requires employment is conditional upon favorable fingerprint background clearance check. Computer literacy/experience.  A completed background check and determination that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria of the Indian Child Protection Act are prerequisites to hiring.   Complete achievement of certain of the above specifications may not be required if, in the opinion of BBNA a particular candidate possesses significant offsetting characteristics, such as past accomplishments, experience, education, or estimate of future potential.   REPORTS TO:  Children Service’s Division Manager. DUTY STATION:  Dillingham, Alaska.  WAGE RANGE: $21.87/hr. ($42,656/yr.) – $31.17/hr. ($60,786/yr.) DOE .
