Nutrition Site Workers. Two hours per day, Monday – Friday.
OBJECTIVE: To get nutritional meals to eligible elders and track numbers of meals served.
QUALIFICATIONS: Able to communicate well with elders and school lunch program staff. Be reliable and work independently. Ability to keep records. Must maintain confidentiality. Requires background clearance check and meet eligibility criteria of the Alaska Barrier Crimes Act.
DUTIES: Contacts each eligible elder in the village daily with the menu for the hot lunch program. Keep school cook informed regarding number of meals needed. Help with lunch set up. Make home deliveries or/and arrangements for home deliveries. Collect and record donations and send to Elderly Services Program every two weeks. Record daily meal counts. Advocate for elders in need of additional services, i.e. homemaker/chore. Assist elders with special problems and make regular visits to home-bound elders. Make requests for donated fish and game from village members, as time permits. Be responsible for arranging own alternate worker on days when sick or unable to work. (Alternates must be approved by Program Manager.) WAGE: $12.00/hour . Job Classification: Temporary. September – May REPORTS TO: Aging & Disabilities Division Manager. DUTY STATION: Aleknagik, Koliganek, Nondalton, New Stuyahok, Ekwok, Clarks Point and Twin Hills. Closes: Open until filled.
