Wellness Program Coordinator

Wellness Program Coordinator    OBJECTIVE: Develop, implement, and manage BBNA’s Wellness Program; using the Village Wellness Workbook, Wellness: A Circle of Life, Knowing Who You Are, Undoing Racism, Basic Orientation Advocacy Training (B.O.A.T), Sexual Assault Response Team (S.A.R.T) training etc. that provides opportunities for individuals and their families become healthy and safe building healthy Bristol Bay communities.    QUALIFICATIONS: Education / Experience: Prefer four year related college degree. Progressive work experience may substitute college education at BBNA’s discretion. Important: Demonstrated familiarity with wellness initiatives in Bristol Bay; understanding of the dynamics of historical trauma, substance and alcohol abuse, child abuse/neglect, family and interpersonal violence; Ability to understand and follow program guidelines. Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate resources. Ability to develop collaborative relationships. Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, and cultures, and rural social service delivery. Ability to organize and conduct public presentations; conduct research. Valuable attributes: Understanding of how grants / contracts work, strong writing skills, bilingual English –Yupik Computer skills: MS programs, e-mail/internet, and data base programs. Other: Willing and able to travel in /out of region. Complete achievement of certain of the above specifications may not be required if, in the opinion of BBNA a particular candidate possesses significant offsetting characteristics, such as past accomplishments, experience, education, or estimate of future potential.
